Thesis (Diplomarbeiten) in the area of network tomography and
peer-to-peer systems.
The topics in network tomography focus on
- the design of tools for analysis of TCP and
Http
- the analysis of peer-to-peer applications such as
e-Donkey
The topics in peer-to-peer systems focus on
- the design of a peer-to-peer back-up system
Interested students should have a solid background in
computer networks and distributed systems and good programming
skills in C or JAVA.
The InternEt Research Group has a long tradition of
hosting German students for their Diplomarbeit (see
http://www.eurecom.fr/~btroup/BThesis/bib.html). The
Diplomarbeit can start any time in the first half of 2006.
