I studied Wirtschaftsinformatik (computer science
and business administration) at the University of Mannheim from
1987 until 1993. After that I started working on my PhD.
First, from December 1993 until March 1995, I worked as
a member of the tenet group of the International Computer Science
Institute (ICSI) in Berkeley, CA and the University of California
at Berkeley. Afterwards, from April 1995 until Oktober 1996 I
worked at the multimedia department of the European Networking
Center of IBM in Heidelberg and finaly, since November 1996, I
work as a member of the multimedia research group at the
University of Mannheim.
